German WWII 2nd Model Kriegsmarine Dagger by Hörster-This is a double engraved example. It has solid brass fittings throughout. There is great detail to the hilt and crossguard. The locking mechanism on the crossguard works as it should. The eagle pommel cap has great tone and details, and is a bit loose, so please be aware of this. We have not attempted to tighten it. The off-white celluloid handle is near excellent. The brass grip wire is in place and nicely toned to match the fittings. The lightning bolt scabbard is in very good condition and free of any dents. The blade is in near excellent condition and has a nicely engraved clipper ship motif on both the front and the back. You can also see the E & F Hörster logo on the obverse ricasso. This comes with a properly tied silver bullion officer’s knot that is also in very good condition. Overall, this dagger is in very good condition.
