German WWII 2nd Model Luftwaffe Officer’s Dagger-The exterior of the dagger looks very good to start with. The ivory white colored celluloid handle has some dark spots, but no crazing or cracking. The silver wire grip wrap is very good. The details on the pommel and crossguard are strong. The silver finish remains mostly in place on the fittings, including some gold gilt to the pommel’s swastika. The underlying nickel has darkened some. The scabbard has lost the majority of its original finish and has a dark tone. It remains free of dents. In fact, it is in very good condition. The blade has seen better days unfortunately; this blade is a bit rough around the edges. There are a lot of water spots and darkening most likely from storing in a damp environment. The blade is unmarked. If you are looking for a bargain priced Luftwaffe dagger that would look great on display, this is for you.
