German WWII Army Officer’s Dagger by Eickhorn-This is a gorgeous dagger. This is an early example of an army dagger by Eickhorn, the logo puts this in the pre-1935 production range. It is a very clean example. This dagger has nickel silver plated fittings which have taken on a nice dark patina and retain excellent details. These nicely complement the beautiful burnt orange pumpkin handle. The scabbard is a nice plated silver and in fine condition with good tone and details to both the fittings and the pebbling. There is the “one door dent” to the obverse of the scabbard. The finish has toned in the deepest detail giving this a good look. The blade is also in very good condition, with its Eickhorn squirrel logo on the reverse. An honest, clean example in near excellent condition. This is a near excellent example and quite desirable!
