German WWII Army Officer’s Dove Head Sword by E. Pack & Söhne-This is a very handsome sword. It is an early brass example. The black celluloid handle with brass twisted grip wire is in very good condition. The brass fittings on the pommel and guard have toned to a nice dark bronze color, that complements the black of the handle. Please note that there is a chip in the wood just under the pommel, and the pommel fit is slightly loose. The details to the crossguard are excellent. The anodized scabbard looks very good, there are a few scuffs down in the lowest portion of the scabbard, but overall, this is near excellent. The scabbard anodizing has a tone that again complements the upper brass fittings. This is a long sword as it measures 39 inches (99.06cm) in length. The blade is very good, with some light nicks, and pitting. The E. Pack logo can be seen on the reverse, just under the crossguard. This has a police knot that has been with this sword forever, so we will leave them as a pair.
