German WWII Long Model Fireman’s Bayonet by Eickhorn-A handsome example of a fireman’s bayonet that shows only light wear. The nickel plating on the hilt and crossguard are 90% in place. The brown leather buffer remains under the crossguard. The checkered bakelite black grip plates are in very good shape. The scabbard shows wear and it retains approx. 85% of its original black finish. The blade is in very good condition with the Eickhorn 1935-41 logo. Remember, the long bayonets were reserved for regular fire staff and the shorter bayonet for the officers and fire chief. This shows light wear only and is in near excellent condition.
