German WWII Mint Fireman’s Short Model Dress Bayonet-This is a choice example. The hilt and pommel fittings retain 95% of their original matte nickel silver finish. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are excellent, as is the thick leather buffer below the crossguard. The scabbard retains approx. 95% of its original black paint and is dent free. The blade is excellent. It is unmarked, except for Solingen which you can see just under the crossguard. There is a light coat of Vaseline on this blade which we have not attempted to remove. There is an excellent black patent leather frog on this bayonet. Again, this bayonet is choice from top to bottom. Don’t miss this one.
