German WWII Model 1936 SS Chained Dagger-The nickel-plated fittings on the cross guards, scabbard fitting and the handsome chain are 95% intact. The black ebony wood grip with its nickel-plated eagle and enameled runic button are very good, as is the grip and blade fit. There is a very small dent on the handle just above the eagle’s head, so please be sure to see photos. The scabbard is anodized and excellent. The chain is in very good condition, with the reverse of the chain showing the SS mark on the correct link. The snap clip on this chain functions as intended. The blade is very good. You can still see the factory cross graining. The deeply engraved motto “Meine Ehre heist Treue” (My Honor is Loyalty) is very clear. This is a strong very good example of a chained dagger.
