Veteran Bring Back German WWII Army Dagger by Eickhorn-This is an excellent early example of an army dagger. The pumpkin orange celluloid handle is excellent, with no crazing, or cracking. The pommel, and eagle on the crossguard have a great finish that remains in place. These also have super details. The leather buffer remains in place under the crossguard. The fittings on the pebbled scabbard have also darkened slightly enough to give this a handsome look. The scabbard is dent free. The finish remains in place. The blade is beautiful; you can see the factory cross graining and some slight in and out marks. The very early, and small, Eickhorn squirrel logo, can be seen on the reverse. We were lucky enough to purchase this directly from the family of a D-Day veteran. We will supply the name of this soldier to the buyer. This is an excellent army dagger with an impressive pedigree.
