Veteran Bring Back German WWII HJ Knife w/Motto-This is a very nice HJ knife with a seldom seen maker. The nickel plated fittings are approx. 95% intact. The checkered grip plates are excellent, with slight wear only and strong details to the checkered grips. The enamel HJ diamond is clear with good color. There are a few slight cracks and what looks like a small punch hole through the lower red part of the diamond. The black finish on the scabbard is 75% in place. The leather buffer is in place under the crossguard. The blade is very good. The motto is nice and readable, though slightly faint. The reverse of the blade shows the logo Grawiso Solingen, with the ges.gesch. The blade does show signs of the usual sharpening and there is some darkening (slight pitting) to the reverse. This comes with a brown leather retaining strap that is marked LS. The strap is in very good shape. Overall, this is a very good looking dagger. This dagger was brought home by a US soldier; we will supply the name of the veteran to the buyer.
