Veteran Bring Back German WWII SA Dagger by Arthur Schüttelhöfer & Co.-This is a good, affordable starter piece if you are looking to add a wartime SA dagger to your collection. This has plated fittings that retain approx. 40% of their original silver finish. The brown wooden handle does show some darkening from storage and age but is in good condition. It has shrunk from age, so the top crossguard is slightly loose. We have not attempted to tighten this. The nickel silver grip eagle is very good. The SA runic button shows moderate scuffing to the enamel, but this is mostly seen under the magnifying glass. The painted scabbard retains approx. 30% of its original paint, but the plated fittings are very good, as the scabbard ball tip. The blade is in good condition, you can clearly see the motto “Alles fur Deutschland” on the obverse, and the RZM code M7/13 for the maker Arthur Schüttelhöfer & Co. We were lucky enough to purchase this blade from a family member of the veteran who brought it home. We will supply the buyer with the name of this soldier This is a good starter piece and priced accordingly.
