German WWII 6x30 DAK Binoculars-This is a choice set. These have a beautiful tropical tan finish that remains 95% intact overall. The right side reads "Dienstglas 6 x 30" and has the maker ordnance code "ddx" with a blue triangle. DDX is for the maker Voigtlaender u. Sohn AG, Braunschweig. They make excellent optics, and are business! It is interesting that the stamped triangle indicates the use of specialized low-temperature or all-climate lubricant rated for extreme conditions from -40°C to +50°C (-40F – 120F). This still has a brown leather shoulder strap and a bakelite lens cover. The optics are clear but could use a good cleaning. An excellent set!
