German WWII 7x50 Kriegsmarine Binoculars-This set of binoculars is not navy proofed, but has the rubber covers over the eye pieces. This was a common practice on naval binoculars, to protect the lenses against water. This set is excellent. The pebbled paint on the aluminum body remains intact. The pebbled dark brown leatherette coverings is mostly intact. One side is marked as mentioned earlier while the other side is marked "7 x 50”, “beh”, serial number “473654”. “beh” is the ordnance code for Ernst Leitz GmbH, Wetzlar. The optics are in excellent condition but could benefit from a cleaning. The rubber coverings are excellent, still soft and supple and not dried out at all. These are just excellent.
