Veteran Bring Back German WWII Luftwaffe Fleiger Splitterschutzbrille (Splinter-proof Flight Goggles)-This is a set of Luftwaffe goggles in the original storage tin that is very nicely marked with “A. Fl. Nr. 30550”. The “A” indicates that these are the type A splinter goggles which are equipped with the Ultrasin tinted/clear safety lenses. This was designed to protect pilots eyes from wind/glare and flying glass or metal splinters from the cockpit. The lenses on this set are excellent, remaining free from scuffing. They have a black bakelite frame and have an adjustable gray elastic headband. These lenses and case are in excellent condition. These were brought home by a US veteran. We will supply the name of this soldier to the buyer. A scarce find in excellent condition.
