Veteran Bring Back German WWII Winkel-Zeiss Military Field Hospital Cased Microscope Kit-This is a very special, rare offering. The microscope supplied in this military field hospital kit was manufactured by Winkel-Zeiss company of Göttingen, Germany. This microscope comes in a wooden case, that measures 18 inches tall and 8 ¼ inches wide. It is 9 ¼ inches deep. The box is finished in charcoal gray paint. The white stenciling on the front identifies it as a Mikroskopier-Ausrüstung or Microscope Equipment. There is script stenciled above that translates to “always store upright”. This kit includes the microscope, that is nicely marked with the maker’s name and serial number clearly displayed on the front. The number is 59129. This also contains a small wooden box that contains the following lenses 90x (2), 40x, and 8x. The “spencer” objective is included as is the #2 eyepieces (6x, 12x). The mirror stem is included. Inside a small red cardboard box are cover slips for slides. The original lamp is missing on this example. The case does lock with a key, and the key is also in the box with the extra lenses. To be honest, I haven’t checked if the box locks or not. This is in excellent condition, and we were blessed to buy this directly from the family of a veteran. We will supply the name of the soldier to the buyer. Again, an excellent offering. Extra shipping will apply.
