WWII German P38 Holster, Named to GI and German Soldier-This is a hard shell holster produced in dark brown leather. There is minor wear and discoloration from use and age. One of the straps on the reverse has come loose at the upper area that is was sewn onto. The reverse is stamped with a waffenamt, the date ’41. “P38” and with the ordnance code” bdr” indicating production by Richard Ehrhardt, Lederwarenfabrik, Poeseneck Poessneck, Thuringia. The interior is stamped with some identifying info plus there are two hand written names. One is of the German veteran with his feldpost number as well. This one is hard to read. The GI wrote his name, Dav. Whitworth. Very nice!
