German WWII Small Party Flag GI Souvenir UPDATED INFO!-This is a two sided, multipiece party flag that measures approx. 28 inches (71.12cm) long by 21 inches (53.34cm) wide. This flag does show damage to one side of the white disc, please be sure to look closely at the photos. The flag has some fading, and a few discolorations. The best part of this flag is that a US veteran has signed the flag on the other side, you can see that Al Szymanski found this flag in France in 1944. The hoist end of this flag is folded over to accommodate a dowel or small lanyard. A very interesting piece of history.
The updated info from our crack investigator Tom indicates that our GI was PFC Alois SZYMANSKI, Company B, 134 Infantry Regiment. This Regiment landed at Omaha Beach on 5-6 July 1944.
