German WWII Army Enlisted Man’s Belt Buckle-This is a 2nd pattern Army (Heer) buckle by Gebr. Kugel und Fink of Lüdenscheid. This is a salty example. This is a maker we rarely encounter. This is made in a one-piece aluminum pebbled construction. There is moderate wear to highlights overall. The details to the chest of the eagle are quite worn. There is no finish left to this buckle, but the aluminum has a nice vintage tone. This is marked under the roll bar in a gothic script “GK&F” with a small ladder like icon to the left of the script. The maker is hard to make out, but once you know what it is, you can see the Kugel symbol. A salty buckle that needs a good home.
