German WWII Army Enlisted Man’s Belt Buckle w/Leather Tab by Gustav Brehmer- This is a one piece buckle with the pebbled field. It is made of aluminum, and does show heavy wear to the eagle. You can see that the high points of the wreath, motto and especially the eagle’s chest feathers show wear to the fine detail. There is some of the original green finish remaining in these lower details, but for the most part, the finish is missing on the obverse. There is more of the original green finish in place on the reverse. There is wear to the pebbling on the edges. The integral catch and roll bar are in place. You can see the maker logo GB under the rollbar, for the maker Gustav Brehmer. The brown leather tab shows wear, but the maker’s name is in place. It is a bit difficult to make out, but looks to read Gustav Brehmer as well, with the date of 1940. This stamp is tough to make out. This is an honest example of a wartime buckle in good condition.
