German WWII Army (Heer) Combat Buckle w/Leather Tab- This is a one-piece steel constructed example of an army combat buckle. The paint on this buckle is mostly missing on the obverse. Some remains in the details. More of the original green paint remains on the reverse. The buckle body has toned to a bronze like color, which is the steel taking on a light coat of rust patina. The catch is “U” shaped with flat feet and the roll bar/prongs are plated steel. The leather tab is marked for the maker, Osang, and dated 1940. The tab remains soft and supple, and the brown leather is in very good condition. Overall, very good.
