German WWII Polizei Buckle-This is the standard pattern police buckle finished in silvered aluminum with its raised swastika inside the oakleaf wreath. Above this is the motto “Gott mit Uns” or God is with Us. This sits on a pebbled field. This same buckle design was copied for fireman as well. In fact, water police used the same design, except in gold. This buckle is painted green and retrains the majority of this finish. We are uncertain why some would paint their buckles green, is it possible that this buckle could be for Feuerschutzpolizei or Fire protection police. This buckle is in very good condition.
