German WWII 1939 Unissued Spange to the Iron Cross 2nd Class -This is a choice example, as it is unissued. The 2nd Class Spange was awarded to a WWI winner (of the Imperial version of the Iron Cross First Class) for a subsequent award of the Iron Cross 2nd Class during WWII (i.e. pre-1939). It is smaller with prongs, and pinned to the 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon. This is a nice early example. This is unissued and excellent. The die flaws seen on badges by this maker are present (3 and 9 in the date). The reverse is marked "L/11" indicating production by Wilhelm Deumer of Lüdenscheid. The prongs are in place. This is excellent.
