German WWII Five Medal Bar-This is a very nice long medal bar. This has five medals in total, it starts with a 1914 WWI Iron Cross, the second is a war merit cross with swords. The third is a Cross of Honor. The fourth badge is the Occupation Award for the Annexation of Austria (Anschluss Medal). It is a good example retaining the silver finish, with the date on the reverse being 13th of MARCH 1938. The next badge is the Czech annexation award. It retains the silver finish. These medals were awarded to all persons, military or civilian, who actively participated in the annexation of Czechoslovakia. It features a silver finished round medal and the obverse depicts ethnic German breaking the chains of bondage carrying the flag of national socialism. The reverse has the script “Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer” around the edge and “1 Oktober 1938” in the center. This example retains 100% of its finish and has no visible wear. The reverse is backed with a beige wool that show slight discoloration but is in very good condition. The long horizontal pin is in place and functions as it should. This is a very cool medal bar with an interesting variety! It sure tells a story.
