German WWII Army “Other Ranks” Visor Cap for Signals-This cap has an excellent exterior, with an inside that is not so excellent. Please be sure to look closely at the photos. The tricot wool is in very good condition, and shows only minor wear. There is one small hole at the top front, which is caused by pressure of the wool on the inner center post of the cap. There is a dark green badge cloth center band. The insignia consists of an aluminum eagle, and an aluminum cockade and wreath, all of which are very nice. The insignia retains the majority of their original brushed aluminum silver. The cockade is gorgeous red. The chin strap is black patent leather and is in place. The visor is black vulkanfibre, and is excellent. Now let’s talk about the inside of this cap. This cap is missing its sweatband. The inner lining is blue rayon that shows moderate use. The sides are lined with a brown rayon material. The diamond shaped moisture shield is in place, but it is broken on the right side. The cap is nicely marked for the maker Luxus. Again, the exterior is excellent, and this would make the perfect display piece.
