RARE WWII German Luftwaffe Administration NCO Visor Cap-This scarce cap is a private purchase example. In over 60 years of collecting, this is only the 2nd of this type that I have encountered. It is a bit out of shape but looks fine on a mannequin head or a hat form (which is included). The field grey wool is super clean. It has minor wear and tracking a few spots. The green administration piping is fully intact. There is a green badge cloth center band. The insignia is zinc, with both the eagle and the one piece winged cockade retaining a majority of the finish. There is a black leather chinstrap that is in fine condition. The black vulkanfibre visor is a bit faded but otherwise ok. The underside is black as well. The top panel of the interior is lined in orange brown oil cloth while the sides are lined in orange brown cloth. The rhomboid shaped moisture shield is fully intact. It has the maker nomenclature for August Schellenberg of Berlin. It is size stamped 56. The sweatband is tan ersatz leather and in fine condition. A rare example!
