German WW2 Flak 10x80 Binoculars-These are just excellent, a set of flak D.F. 10 x 80 binoculars. These may have also been used for anti-aircraft or anti-tank. The optics on these are excellent! The body is an ordinance tan paint, the finish is 70% intact with minor wear. The scalloped knobs are made of a brown bakelite and still function. The left dial is labeled klar (clear), hell (light), mittel (medium), and dunkel (dark). The right side of the binocular body is marked: D.F. 10x80, cxn 99048 38372. DF Is the abbreviation for Doppelfernrohr (double telescope), with 10 x 80 indicating the magnification power of the optics. The German wartime three letter code cxn stands for the renowned German optical company Emil Busch (Optische Industrie A.G., Rathenow). Interesting that the red colored X indicates the type of lubricant used on the set. In very good condition, with very clear optics, they just need a good cleaning. $850 ***Extra shipping may be required for this example, as it weighs a lot***
