German WWI Canteen-This canteen has a green canvas cover that is very nicely marked and dated 1916. The cover is quite faded and has several spots of discoloration. This has a leather back strap, and a snap clip that shows quite a bit of rust. We have not attempted to remove the cover, as it seems to be adhered to the steel canteen body quite well. A great looking early display item. This is in sound condition for being 110 years old!
