German WWII Kriegsmarine EM Combat Buckle-This is a one piece stamped steel example of a navy buckle. This would be worn by an enlisted man. This is a good looking example! This finish on this steel buckle is 80% intact overall. It does show some wear to the high points of the eagle, wreath and motto. You can see some very slight finish loss, but the details are very strong. This is marked on the reverse JFS for maker Josef Feix & Söhne. Rumor has it that these buckles were used by both the Heer and the Kriegsmarine combat troops. The catch is “U” shaped with flat feet and the roll bar/prongs are plated steel. A very good example.
