German WWII Large Balkenkreuz from JU 87 Stuka-We have done our research and believe that, based on the size of this graphic, this would be taken off of the upwing, lowing or fuselage of a JU87 or dive bombing Stuka. This cross measures approx. 23 inches (584mm) wide and tall. This Baltic cross is printed on a gray piece of fabric, that measures approx. 26 inches (660.4mm) tall and wide. The Junkers Ju 87, popularly known as the "Stuka", is a German dive bomber and ground-attack aircraft. Designed by Hermann Pohlmann, it first flew in 1935. The Ju87 made its combat debut in 1937 with the Luftwaffe's Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War of 1936–1939 and served the Axis in World War II from beginning to end. These planes became known by the sound they made. The Germans added Lärmgeräts  (noise device) to the legs of the plane. These sirens became a propaganda device, and were especially feared during the German Blitzkrieg victories. Take a moment to look up the Stuka, and their many victories. Then a quick google search for one of the best known Stuka pilots, Hans-Ulrich Rudel. He flew 2,530 ground-attack missions, mostly on the Eastern front, and was the most decorated pilot of WW2. He was the only recipient of the Knight's Cross with Golden Oak Leaves, Swords, and Diamonds. Very interesting fellow.

This fabric cross was removed from an aircraft. It was folded up and taken home by an unknown veteran. You can still see the fold marks on the fabric where this was stowed away for home. Other than the remaining creases, the graphics are still excellent. This would look great in a frame.
