Pair of Military Snowshoes as Used by the 10th Mountain Division-These wooden snowshoes are very nicely marked and dated. They were produced in 1942 by the Lund Co in Hasting Minnesota, where they certainly know a lot about snow! 😉 The side of the snowshoes are well marked on the wooden frames. They measure approximately 10 ½ inches (26.67cm) wide by 21 inches (53.34cm) long. They are made of nicely toned wood and sinew. The leather straps are still pliable, though they are dry where they attach to the sinew. They would crack if they were used. There are no cracks or splits in the wood. They don't come any nicer than this!
