Third Reich Schutzpolizei Other Ranks Visor Cap-This great cap is produced in blue green wool that is excellent. There is very minor wear and discoloration only. This cap has a pair of mesh ventilation grommets on each side, nice. The green piping is for schutzpolizei/municipal police. The center band is chocolate brown badge cloth, showing minor discoloration only. The insignia is excellent, retaining all of the finish. The chin strap is black patent leather. The visor is black vulkanfibre, showing minor fading and crazing only. The underside is dark green and cross hatched. The top panel of the interior is lined in tan oil cloth while the sides are orange brown cloth. Both are very clean but there is a fairly large tear in the top panel. There is a rhomboid shaped moisture shield that is maker stamped and size stamped 56. The sweatband is tan leather and remains very soft. It is embossed with the “Deutsches Leder” logo. Near excellent overall!
