WWII German Luftwaffe Visor Cap for Other Ranks Flight/Paratrooper Personnel-This is a private purchase example that is in excellent condition. It is produced in blue grey wool that is super clean. There is one super tiny moth hole in the top panel. The yellow flight/paratrooper piping is in fine condition. The insignia consists of an early droop tail Luftwaffe eagle and a one-piece wreath and cockade, both remaining in excellent condition. The chinstrap is black patent leather and excellent. The visor is black vulkanfibre with extremely minor fading only. The underside is crosshatched and finished in a green hue. The interior is fully lined in light golden-brown cloth. There is a rhomboid shaped moisture shield with maker nomenclature that reads Schlesische Mützenfabrik of Frankenstein. It is also stamped with the size, 56 1/2 and the date, 1939. The sweatband is tan leather. It is very soft and supple. The underside is boldly ink stamped with the following unit info: Fl. M. Kdtr. Jilesheim. Excellent overall and desirable!
