WWII Soviet Infantry Command Staff Visor Cap-This cap is dated 1941 and is for infantry command staff, high command. It is produced in olive drab wool. There is minor wear, minor discoloration and a moth nip or two. There is purple piping around the top panel and a purple badge cloth center band. There are some areas of tracking and some moth damage to the center band. There is a very handsome Soviet enamel cap badge that is excellent. There is a thin ersatz leather chinstrap. The black visor has some fading but is otherwise in fine condition. There are gilt finished buttons for the chinstrap. The interior is lined in grey cotton that is clean and damage free. The marks indicate the year of production, 1941 and that this was produced in the cap factory in St. Petersburg. It is a size 58. There is a grey ersatz leather full sweatband. We have included a copy of a vintage photo of a cap just like this being worn. Very rare!
