Imperial German Stein-This is dated 1912-13 and was presented to Reservist Horner. Script around the top reads “Wertreugedienst hat seine Beit dem seiein vollergeweiht” which is a way of saying that his “loyal service was very valuable to his unit”. This was a training unit and script on the bottom reads “1. Comp. Bad. Train Batt. Nro. 14 Durlach 1912-13”. The stein is extremely colorful and has a lot of very meaningful imagery all around its exterior. The lid functions as intended and has a very detailed horse with soldier, which has damage to the rear horse leg (see pics). It really is a sight to behold! You can see the water mark in the base.
