Third Reich Model 1934 Fire Police Double Decal Helmet-This aluminum example retains 75% of its satin black finish on the square dip style shell. The police decal is the second pattern, toned silver giving it a gold appearance, wreathed police eagle as introduced on July 28th 1936. It remains 75% intact. The party shield checks in at 85%. There are two separate groups of seven, "salt & pepper" ventilation holes positioned on each side of the crown. This one does not have a comb and there are a few dings and dents throughout. There are also a few scratched in swastika on the finish. The interior skirt is maker stamped on the rear and dated 3.5.34. The liner is ersatz leather, a bit stiff but overall nice with minor wear and discoloration only. It is size stamped 57 and maker stamped “Carl Henkel”. There is a drawstring (shoe string) and a dome pad. The original chinstrap is is mostly gone, only a small piece remains. A sound example!
