WWII British Dispatch Helmet-These were worn by motorcyclists and used for dispatch rider duties. It features a rough texture, greenish grey finish that remains mostly intact. Inside it is very clean. There is a soft, brown leather neck flap with ear flaps and chinstrap. There is a thick, leather covered buffer, tan leather sweatband and white ribbed heavy cotton suspension. There is a tie string for the eyelets on the neck flap. The sweatband is stamped BMB for Briggs Motor Bodies Ltd of Dagenham. It is dated 1942 and size stamped 7. A very good example!
