WWII German Army Model 1940 Sawdust Camo Combat Helmet-This has a chunky, dark green combat finish over sawdust camouflage. This finish remains mostly intact. There is a small scratch right over the decal, so we can see that it is an army example. Inside is a size stamped 55 leather liner that is in very good condition. There is a zinc liner band. The initials W.G.W. are seen in bold black ink on the rear skirt. The side of the interior is stamped ET 62 indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke in the size of 62. The rear skirt is stamped with the lot number 284. There is a brown leather chinstrap as well. It is slightly shortened but still in good condition overall. A great example!
