German WWI I1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class-This is a handsome example. The black finish on the iron core is mostly intact. The silver frame has toned to a nice dark color. The details are very good. This is maker marked on the ring with “KO”, for the Royal Mint in Berlin. Overall, this is a very good example. This comes with a nice clean portion of original ribbon.

History: The German "Iron Cross of 1914" was a military decoration awarded to soldiers during World War I, originally established by King Frederick William III of Prussia in 1813 as a recognition for bravery in battle.
