WWII German Army Administration Oberst Model 1936 Tunic-This handsome Wehrmachtbeamte tunic is produced in a high quality, very soft field grey wool. It has minor wear, minor discoloration and a few spots of minor tracking. There is a five button closure and all buttons are field grey finished pebbled metal. There are four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. There is a dark green badge cloth collar and there are French cuffs. This has really great looking collar tabs that are “superior agencies” specific in gold bullion over green with red piping. The sew in shoulder boards are matte silver flat wire braid with green cord sewn throughout over greed with a secondary underlay of red. Each has a pair of gilt finished metal pips for the rank of oberst or colonel. The breast eagle is bright silver bullion with bright silver flat wire over dark green wool. There is a ribbon for the EKII in the button hole. PLEASE NOTE that ALL insignia is ORIGINAL but POST WAR REAPPLIED! There are holes in the left breast pocket for a pinned on medal. Same for a small ribbon bar which is included. The interior is fully lined in green rayon that is in very good condition. There is a waist belt with a plated metal buckle as well as a slot for an edged weapon (no strap). This is a size medium. Despite the reapplied insignia, this is still a special piece!
