WWII German Army General Tunic and Trousers-This private purchase set is in great condition! The quality of the materials is top notch of course. The tunic is produced in a very soft field grey wool. There is very minor wear only. There is one small nip on the right breast pocket. There is a five button closure and all buttons are gilt finished pebbled metal. There are four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. There are French cuffs and a dark green badge cloth collar. The red badge cloth collar tabs have gold bullion and flat wire general insignia. The are originally applied. The sew in shoulder boards are REAPPLIED. They are originals but have been reapplied to the tunic. Each has a gold and silver metallic braid over a red badge cloth backing. This is for a generalmajor. The breast eagle is also original but reapplied to this tunic. It is gold bullion with gold flat wire highlights over dark green wool. There are loops for a single badge on the left breast pocket plus loops for a medium ribbon bar above the pocket. These are original and not collector added. The interior is fully lined in green rayon. It shows signs of use but is in very good condition. There is a single pocket on the left side which has a large tailor tag on the outside. It was produced by a tailor in Stuttgart. There is a strap with a plated metal snap clip plus a slot for an edged weapon. The tunic is a size medium. The trousers are light grey with parallel twin red stripes down each leg. They are in very good condition with minor wear and discoloration only. There are buttoned hip pockets, a watch fob pocket and a four button fly with two additional buttons at the waist. There are cinch straps at the hips and a pair of buttoned rear pockets with scalloped flaps. There are numerous buttons inside for various items and a set of straps for suspenders. The waist is a size 36 and these are 38” in length. A nice set!
