WWII German Luftwaffe Officer Private Purchase Cape-This is a fabulous cap, a private purchase example produced in buttery soft, blue grey doe skin wool. It is in amazing condition aside from one key item that is important to note. The huge, silver bullion eagle has been de-nazified. It was done in a very neat manner but the swastika has been removed. This has a five-button closure and all buttons are blue grey bakelite. The large eagle medallions with the chain closure are also present. Inside, it is fully lined in super soft grey silk. There is a large tailor tag at the neck. A very impressive piece if you can live without the swastika. Excellent otherwise!
