WWII/Korean War US 2nd Infantry Division 1st Lieutenant Ike Jacket-This is produced in olive drab wool that is in great condition. There is a four button closure with a fifth button at the waist flap. There are two pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. The left sleeve has an embroidered 2nd Infantry Division patch that is excellent. There are DUI’s on the shoulder straps for the 38th Regiment “Rock of the Marne”. This to go along with the silver bars for a 1st lieutenant. The lapels have the gold US pins plus a set for the 38th Regiment, the number 38 with crossed rifles. There is shoulder cord for the Croix de Guerre as well as one in blue for infantry personnel. There is a sterling silver Combat Infantryman Badge along with two ribbon bars. The first one is for the Victory Medal. Below is one that has the National Defense, Korean Service Medal with a single star (two missing perhaps) plus the United Nations Korean Service Medal. The interior is fully lined in green rayon that is in fine condition. There is a laundry number ink stamped in the neck, it reads T 4140. There is a size tag at the collar that indicates it is a size 36 R. This is of Korean War vintage but of clearly for a veteran of WWII. Great condition!
