WWII US 4th Infantry Division “Ike” Jacket-This example is produced in dark olive drab wool that is in great condition. It has a five-button closure and all buttons are brown bakelite. There are pleated breast pockets with scalloped flaps. The left sleeve has a 4th Infantry “Ivy” sleeve patch plus a rank patch for staff sergeant. The staff sergeant patch is also seen on the right sleeve. There is a “Ruptured Duck” diamond above the right breast pocket. You can see that there were “D.I.’s” on the lapels at one point (there are clasps in the pocket that I assume were for these). The interior is fully lined in dark olive drab cotton blend material that is clean and has only minor wear. There is a pocket on each side. The right pocket has a tailor tag dated December 16, 1944 and indicating that the tailor was Kravits Clothing Co. and that the size is a 38 S. There is a small size tag in the neck with the same size listed. The owner stitched the last four numbers of his ASN into the interior as well, 8963. Great condition!
