WWII US Ike Jacket, Dual Unit Engineer-This is a great jacket! It is produced in olive drab wool and shows some minor wear, minor discoloration and a few moth holes. There are pleated breast pockets with scalloped flaps. There is a five button closure with a snap at the waist. The collar has a US lapel pin on the right and a Corps of Engineers pin on the left. The left sleeve has a fantastic, theater made “ADSEC” rocker above a European Theater of Operations shoulder patch. ADSEC is the Army Advance Section of the Communications Zone and was responsible for logistics and supply operations in the ETO. The right sleeve has a great, theater made 1st Army shoulder patch. The left sleeve has three machine woven gold bars indicating 1 ½ years of service overseas. The lower right sleeve has a handsome, gold bullion Army Meritorious Unit patch. There are 1st Army DI’s on each epaulet. The Ribbon bars include a Victory Medal, American Campaign, EAME with four battle stars and Army Good Conduct. The interior is fully lined in olive drab cotton. It is in good condition. There are pockets on both sides. The right side has a tailor tag inside that indicates this was produced by the Moda Coat Company. There is a laundry number stamped, it reads F7137. Sound condition with a lot of great characteristics!
