Interesting US WWII M-1 Helmet with Inland Liner-This is a neat helmet! It is a fixed bale, front seam example. There are multiple dings and dents as seen in the photos. There is a colorful camouflage pattern applied to the shell in a combination of blue and tan. This blue color is similar to the sea foam blue we’ve seen on USMC camo helmets. We have seen this combination before but it is not often encountered. The fixed chinstrap is missing. The Inland liner is in very good condition with most of the finish intact. The OD 3 suspension, sweatband and nape strap all have minor wear and discoloration from use. The owner stamped some info which is most likely his first initial and laundry number onto the sweatband. It reads “R D1250”. This could most likely be researched. The brown leather chinstrap is missing (mostly). A cool piece!
