1930’s Polish Army Marked Bayonet-This is an interesting, and rare example. It is a Polish bayonet for the polish mauser rifle. It is marked WP for Wojsko Polskie which is another name for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland. The Karabinek (carbine) was a bolt-action short rifle based on the German Mauser Kar98. These Mauser rifles were in service with the Polish Army in the 1930’s until the start of WW2. The rifles were equipped with a Polish made knife bayonet similar in design to Mauser bayonets. This is a rare original Polish Model 1924 Karabinek/Mauser knife bayonet. The brown wooden handle with large rivets is in very good condition. The steel fittings are excellent and nicely toned. The blade is also in good shape, and very nicely maker marked under the crossguard. There is no scabbard for this blade. We are selling as is. An interesting offering.
