1957 Version of the German Iron Cross 2nd Class w/Ribbon-This is a choice example, but this is the 1957 example. The core retains 100% of its finish and the frame is shiny and bright. This is an unmarked example which is usual for these awards. You can see that this example has three oak leaves that replaces the swastika. This represents an interesting piece of history. The West German government introduced the 1957 version of the Iron Cross 2nd Class to allow World War II veterans to legally wear their wartime awards in public and on Bundeswehr uniforms without violating post-war laws banning party symbols. This has an excellent portion of ribbon. This is excellent.
