2 Copies of Signal (in French) from late 1944-This is two copies of the Signal, which was a bi weekly illustrated propaganda magazine published by the Wehrmacht from April 1940 to 1945. Aimed at neutral, allied, and occupied countries rather than the domestic German public, it featured high-quality color photography and was printed in up to 25 languages. This is very interesting as these are two copies in French. By late 1944 France had already been largely liberated (Paris was freed in August 1944), meaning this specific occupied-territory edition circulated earlier in the year or remnants were left behind. This is number 4, and number 8 of that year. The number 4 is dated November 1944,and contains 40 pages. This issues focuses on training. The next is number 8 from 1944, and also contains 40 pages that focuses on mountain troops. These are both in excellent condition. Again, this is the French language version from late 1944.
