Cased Japanese Binoculars 7 x7 by Tokyo Optical-These are 7x7 binoculars. They are in very sound condition. The pebbled leatherette covering is tearing and flaking off, so please be sure to see the photos. They are maker marked with a logo for Tokyo Optical (now known as Topcon). There is a serial number No.5521. They are also marked for JES which stands for Japanese Engineering Standards, which was the technical standard used in Japan before and during WW2. This has an original brown leather shoulder strap that is in fine condition. The optics do need to be cleaned. They work but are a bit cloudy. The beautiful khaki canvas case is slightly faded, but is in good shape, and includes the shoulder strap. Be aware the closure strap is in place, but the closure button is missing. This case is very nicely marked under the lid in kanji. A fine set overall!
