Die unbekannte Armee: Die technischen Truppen im Zweiten Weltkrieg (The Unknown Army: the technical troops in the Second World War)-Published in 1979, this hardcover book is in good shape, it does have its cover jacket, but there is some discoloration on the front. But the 183 pages in this book are clean, and spot free. Erich Hampe was General of the Technical Troops during the Second World War and President of the Federal Agency for Civil Air Protection after the war. From the foreword by Colonel General a. D. Karl Hollidt: "Which of us old soldiers of the Second World War at the front and at home had knowledge of the existence and the performance of the technical troops in the Army High Command"? The author rightly calls it "The Unknown Army". The military historian Dermot Bradley provided Major General Hampe with inspiration and advice in the preparation of his book. Written in German. It’s an interesting book.
