Early 18th Century Broad Hunting Sword-This measures a full 28” in length and really classified as a broad sword based on the width of the blade. The stag handle has beautiful, engraved brass fittings, and a brass cross guard. The blade has nicks on the cutting edge and is dark but considering its vintage, is in very sound condition. One side has a hunting scene, and the other has a presentation to the hunter. The translation of the presentation is “The hunter has a good life, especially when in the wild forest”. This does not have a scabbard.
